Dennis Hopper and Owen Wilson
A few years ago Owen Wilson came on television. My husband had no idea who he was, but he stopped and said "Is that Dennis Hopper's son?". I was like "NO! That is Owen Wilson". My husband went on to insist that it was Dennis Hopper's son. Now I knew that was not true. However there are some freaky coincidences that just might make it true.
First off, they do look alike, and their mannerisms and voice are similar too.
Second off, Owen Wilson was born in Dallas, Texas on 11/18/1968.
Easy Rider was released in 1969 which means it was being filmed in 1968 in the area of Texas.
The movie was filmed from Los Angeles to New Orleans. Now I am no geographical genius, but Texas lies somewhere betwixt (I love that word) Los Angeles and New Orleans.
Third, they are both extremely talented. They are both writers and producers in addition to being great actors.
I am not trying to start rumors because that is not my style, but they DO look and act alike.
Plus in my humble opinion, Luke and Owen do not look very much alike. They could totally be half brothers. As I said not trying to start rumors, but more or less just musing out loud here on my blog.

No, no, you should totally start rumor mongering. That is 50% more interesting than anything else I've ever read about Owen Wilson. (Okay, so not so much about Hopper - any rumor a mere mortal could make up about him would not be anywhere nearly as weird as the stuff that is actually true.)

Skeet Ulrich - A younger less talented Johnny Depp
Scott Wolf - A younger less interesting Tom Cruise.
Lyndsey Lohan - A younger Linda Blair...oh, wait I'm confused...they both just vomit. One for movies the other because she is trapped in her Hollywood I Want To Be A Star Forever But I Have Know Talent Or Looks lifestyle.
Paris Hilton - She is a younger version of a Crack Whore but she is not as interesting, has less talent, and serves less purpose on this earth.

I hardly think this lady's husband is the first (hardly) of many people who saw Owen Wilson for the first time and thought, "Say, that must be Dennis Hopper's son." I noticed it (the father/son resemblance) first time I saw Philips. Probably scores of others have too, but, like me, they figure if they are father and son they have their own reasons for being mum about it. So one never nears it talked about. On one of the celrbrity news segments following up on Philip's recent hospitalization the program mentioned "Owens friend Dennis Hopper" had sent his best wishes. Philips' only friend over 30.

This is a theory that I formulated as well about a year ago after seeing Dennis Hopper on a commercial and noticing his voice, mannerism and facial features are extremely similar to Owen Wilson. Thanks for your husbands attention...

We just saw Dennis Hopper in a film and my husband said the EXACT same thing as yours! He asked if Owen Wilson was Dennis Hopper's son!!
Their voice inflections and mannerisms are practically identical. How eerie. I immediately suggested he may be a child out of wedlock... then I saw that your blog suggests the same thing :) Funny.
I doubt it's true though... let's investigate... does Owen know his father?? :o)
I remember an old Twilight Zone episode with Hopper in it. I remember thinking how much Owen looks like him. Dennis was very young in the episode.
