Bonnie and Richie
I came across an old photo of Faye Dunaway from Bonnie and Clyde and I was struck at how much Nicole Richie resembles La Dunaway in that bygone era kind of way. I am not a fan of Nicole, but I am rather astonished at her metamorphosis from chubby, homely, white trash looking first season of The Simple Life Nicole, to the fashion fabulous little waif Nicole she has become. Sorry, but it is true.
I admire her complete change in style, and I think her stylists are fabulous, and so does Jimmy Choo obviously. I do, however wish the girl would just eat a hamburger.
Am I crazy, or does Nicole look like Faye in Bonnie and Clyde?
Have a lovely day!

Gotta admit - I agree with you about the "new" Nicole. She needs to step up the burrito consumption, sure - but her fashion sense is fabulous! It'll be interesting to see how she fares as a singer.
Yes, I do see it too. But geesh Faye was so curvy. Nicole please eat something!
Oh yeah. That's a good comparision.
Nicole has style, but yeah...eat something please! (An article I just read about her -- was it from this photo shoot? -- was actually pretty good; I hope there's some validity to her getting help!)
thanks for stopping by and by your blog so far i can see i am putting you in my favorites!!!!!!!!!!
If you just said that to me and I couldn't see pictures, I would run screaming NO! away from you...but the pictures don't lie! Good eye, lady!
But seriously, when will anorexia go out of style?
I wonder if Rachel Zoe had Dunaway's character in mind. Isn't she Nicole's stylist? This is the thing I hate about the whole "stylist" concept; it completely removes the individuality from the individual. I LIKED it when Barbra Streisand wore her see-through babydoll and Diane Keaton cross-dressed and Cher wore her insane Bob Mackie at the Oscars. Now everyone is styled the same: shiny column dress, long flowing waves, fake tan, glossy lips, diamonds around the neck. Snore.
But I digress; you were talking about Nicole. I see her transformation and think, Wow, with the right (or, more accurately, wrong) diet and stylist, ANYONE can look like a star. I agree that she's much easier on the eyes now than she used to be -- and she clearly has more class and style than her former friend Paris -- but with the giant sunglasses and skinny, hunching body she's taken it too far. Far from being a Hepburnesque or Farrowesque waif, she looks like someone's perpetually cold but very fashionable grandma.
great comparison! they do look very similar!
i really started loving her style at the beginning of her transformation - loved her new hair cut (when she got the bob) and all, but now her clothes look awesome still, but she's looking worse - she'd look so much better with at least 10 or so pounds (to start).
