My Trip to Oklahoma in Pictures Part One

I went to Oklahoma for my Grandma's 92nd birthday party. The top picture is of my lovely Grandma in the shirt I bought her for her party! I love my Grandma. The James Garner picture is for Melanie. It was hanging in a montage of famous Oklahomans at the airport.

OKLAHOMA-OKLAHOMA-OKLAHOMA!!!

How was OKC? Did ya see any old pals? I'm heading back in August.

Guess we can see where you got that fire-Grandma! What a cutie. Love the stories of the old. You can't argue with them because they really did have to walk up hill both ways in the snow. "You kids today have it so easy. We used to have to sleep under the house with the dogs in summer time to keep cool." What?

I'm going to stop by the old school when I get back. Maybe I'll cruise 12th Street.

Your grandmother is adorable!

My personal favorite photos are of the cute doggie and the tornado shelter/restroom.

I was just sure you'd include a pic of you and g'ma smoking a fatty in the front yard in your see-through nighties! At least you made up for it in what appears to be traditional Oklahoma mantel decorations. NIIIICE! Happy late bday to your G'ma!

xoxo,
b.

*Howdy Lost Okie--

OKC was good--however I spent almost no time in OKC...I was out in the country. My Grandma is a cutie isn't she? I did not get to see any of the old pals. Grandma is 92, and my time there is limited, so I spent all my time with her.
Last time I was on 12th street there was NADA going on. That is so sad considering it was THE PLACE to be during our high school days.

*Thanks Annie!

My Grandma is precious---difficult and ornery, but sweet. Isn't the restroom/tornado shelter photo a hoot? Tornados in Oklahoma are a clear and present danger this time of year.

*Hi Tessa--

Thanks! We had a big fish fry for her birthday and I really think she enjoyed it.

Oklahoma! Every night my honey Lem and I sit alone and talk and watch the hawks making lazy circles in the sky! HA!
Wonder who Lem is? Lem is not a character in the musical is he?
Or does it say Honey Lamb? Weird I have never learned the correct words to the song--HA!

*Happy Birthday Jamey!

How was Monterrey? I am sure you had a beautiful time! As far as anyone at the old school that anyone in our class would know??Probably Mr. Lehman is still kicking it live in Biology class!

We seriously need another class trip to somewhere good!!!
Miss ya!! Hope your birthday is wonderful!

*Melvis--

Thanks! The dog is my cousin's. Her name is Maddox. Maddox is the cutest dog ever! She loved her monkey! Thanks for the kind words!

Oh and I KNOW about James Garner. Funny thing--when I got back home The Notebook was on and I just loved him in that.

*Em--
Tee heeeee! You know me and Granny hooked up the fatty--but some things that happen in Oklahoma stay in Oklahoma--you feel me?
Oh yes---the traditional mantel decor. Granny does not have a mantel so the decorations were on the tranditional mantel default furniture --the top shelf of her bakers rack!
Thanks for the bday wishes to Grandma!

I love your grandma in that shirt! Great snapshot. Hope her birthday was wonderful.

What an adorable puppy-dog. I want to smoosh him in my arms and scratch his ears!
