Wrecks and John Henry

I am home from New York, but it has been a whirlwind.....Friday when my husband was driving to work, he was hit at 40 mph by a less than honorable person--WITH NO INSURANCE. He was hit so hard from behind that my car (he was driving my car) hit the car in front of him--so now the front and the back of my car are both banged up. Thank God my husband was not hurt, but now it is a flurry of insurance and estimates and rental cars and stress. ACK! I will post more on my trip tomorrow, but today I present you John Henry. John Henry is a fan favorite of legendary status amongst my fragrance friends. I have known him for years. He is always such a lovely man full of wit, wisdom and all beautiful things. I spotted him and there was much hugging and hand lotion.

This trip to NYC was all about food, fragrance, friends, makeup, musicals, and freaking cold weather. More on that tomorrow.

Lovely day to all!

"Much hugging and hand lotion"...woman, you crack me up!

Anyway, I am sorry about your car, but relieved that D is all right. What a total drag dealing with insurance, rental cars and car repair! But, in the end it will all get worked out. Better to cry over someone that can cry over you than a car, know what I mean?

I can't wait to hear about your adventures in NYC! Maybe one day you will write about your adventures in LA???

Hugs and love! So glad that you had a wonderful time away, J!

Glad to hear that the husband is doing fine after such a horrible accident. People with no insurance are the reason why my rates are higher than they should be! Calling them "less than honorable" was very restrained and lady like on your part.

I'm looking forward to reading more about your NYC trip. Whenever you are ready to escape that cold weather - there's always L.A.!!

*Hi R-

Girl if you have met him then you know what I mean. He is smoothe and soft!

I so agree that in the big picture the car is nothing. If my husband would have been in his car (which is tiny) he would have really been hurt. The thought makes me shudder!

I know--I need to get back to LA and hang out with your left coasters!

xoxoxo

*Hello Mary-

Thanks for your nice words--yes I could say a mouthful about the person who hit my husband--no insurance, no license, etc etc etc, but I will bit my tongue.

I am for sure looking forward to coming to LA sometime soon! We could cause some trouble--oh and GLOW-zell too!

*Hello lovely Fab!

How was Philly? I hope you had a nice time. Did I ever tell you my Dad's family is from that area?
Have you met John Henry? I met him years ago, but lately he was a phantom--could not be found. I was glad to see he is doing great!

Yuck about the wreck, but so glad your hub is alright. Very scary.
Yuck also about drivers with no insurance. How dare they?

I love John Henry. I believe I was with when we met him at Saks 5 Ave one time.
He is a bright jewel and yes quite lotion-y. Funny!
