Oh joy, oh rapture, Nutella be thine name

+ =

Oh my goodness! Literally goodness and all things good, and holy, and fattening, and wonderful.

I remember when I was in London, I had my first proper European chocolate croissant. It was in the basement of Harrods in their amazing market place/food court. I really do not see many chocolate croissants here in the Chicago area. However, I have discovered Nutella and now all I have to do is get some lovely, buttery croissants, and *VOILA* I am back at Harrods in a state of British carbohydrate nirvana!

Thanks Europe for sending us Nutella, and thanks Kobe Bryant and Giada di Laurentiis for bringing it to my attention.

Have a yummy day!

(oh and sorry the + and the = are off kilter, but the format will not let me put them where they properly go)

Love Nutella. Never had it on a croissant though.

For a real treat try this stuff:

Way overpriced but worth it.

I tried the most wonderful chocolate peanut butter a few months ago (from Peanut Butter & Co)-it's also available in white chocolate. To die for. And since peanuts have protein, I can pretend it's health food. Love, love, love it and will have to try it on a croissant asap.

Mmmmm, Nutella!! Thanks for stirring up some yummy memories.

On the first day of my first (well, only) trip to Paris in 1992, I had a warm crepe with Nutella filling from a street cart It was soooo delicious.

I think I'm going to buy a jar today and create some new memories.

Hi Ina!!!
Long time no see! Thanks for stopping by!
I am taking note of Lavazza!
Thanks for that info.
I totally get Thai peanut sauce with Bois Farine...yum!
Have a lovely day!

Hi K-

Thanks for that link! You are full of good information!
Do you get a discount at Zingermans? You should!
Hugs to you and Baby Fi!

Hi BBW-

Is the choc and white choc peanut butter you speak of sold at Target? I think I got one a few months back there from PButter and Co. It was delicious!
Have a great day!

Hey Joni-

*closing my eyes and picturing* Warm crepes with Nutella filling from a street cart in Paris--now that is a vision. Ahhhh Pareeee!
By all means get a jar, but be warned--my husband informed me it is 200 calories per 2 tablespoons. Eat cautiously--with that caloric count, I fear this is not popular at South Beach if you get what I am saying!

Hugs to you!

Haha, just stumbled across your blog; but as someone who also has fond memories of discovering nutella while in paris I can say that I have to second the post's sentiment. I better go run a few more miles before I go out and buy a jar though...

Yum yum yum yum yum! Love nutella, though I have to make sure not to keep it in the apartment (won't last but a few days).
