Australian Harper's Bazaar and Chanel Eclair
I have been lucky enough lately to receive some great Australian magazines. The folks at Australian Vogue and Conde Nast have been very kind to me.
Recently, I got the December issue of Australian Harper's Bazaar. I love it.
In the Beauty Buzz section they profile a Chanel nail polish called Eclair #227. Supposedly this is the next big thing for nails, and it is sold out everywhere in Europe and Asia. From what I have been reading, brownish golden colors are the next trend for nails.
I could not find any photos or information on Chanel Eclair anywhere--just that it is sold out all over Europe. I do not think I have seen it here in the United States.
It looks beautiful, and I cannot wait to find it.
Have any of you out there tried it? Is it as beautiful in person as it looks in the glossy?
I would love to know the buzz on the gorgeous polish!
Have a beautiful day!

I want it!!!
I have not heard of Chanel Eclair and was just at one of the counters yesterday. I am going to have to keep my eyes out for this.
Hi Johnica-
Me too...I at least want to see it in person. It looks lovely!
Melanie--
I saw it NOWHERE on E-bay. I looked before I did this post. I looked on US, UK, Italian, and Aussie e-bay and nary was a bottle. I typed in Chanel Eclair and it matched, but the actual listings only had Black Satin or Noir Cermaic. The Eclair was only there in words as a draw.
Hi Dinah-
If you find it, please give a report as to what it is like.
Lovely day to all!
When I searched, I found a couple of ended eBay listings, but no current ones. I didn't see anything in either Essie or OPI's collections that could be a decent substitute, but the Opening Night Champagne that Melanie found looks like a possibility.
Ohhhh how I want this, parisjasmal!!
Hello Jennifer-
I must check out the Opening Night Champagne Melanie mentioned. I will keep checking e-bay for the Eclair. Hopefully it will not be extremely expensive.
I want it too. What is it about something that is hard to find that makes me want it that much more??? GAH!
Have a great day Jennifer!
I have tagged you to write 5 things about yourself that we don't know (it's on my blog). Have a great Monday!

Ooohhh pretty.
that's in my best "adult" voice, although my conversation reeks of spending 9 days cooped up with kids.
Don't know about the nail polish, but I want my hair highlighted that EXACT color.
Hi Fabulista-
Hooray--tagged for 5 things. I am (for some reason) having technical difficulties in posting. I have a post ready to go but it will not post--so as soon as that one posts I will do my 5 things.
Thanks for the tag lovely lady!
Mrs C of the Swirl People-
Oh honey I feel for you! At least it was time off work--and by time off work, I mean time to just sit around in your jammies. I love and worship my soft cozy jammies!I hope everyone in the casa is feeling better!
Hello K-
ooohhhhh that color would be beautiful on hair. I have found that very few hairdressers can get it right. I have come home with purplish eggplant hair so many times--SKREE!
Beautiful day to all!

I tested the Eclair polish at Marionnaud in Zurich the other day. Very pretty light gold, not garish at all.

Always a treat to see you!
Leave it to the savvy Euronewyorker to know what is up with the Chanel! Thanks for the report...just as I thought, it is beautiful in person.
I hope you are doing well and loving your new home and country.
xoxo to you!
